BELGIAN GLP MONITORING PROGRAMME


The Quality Assurance Bureau (QAB) of IPH has been the official GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) Monitoring Authority for Belgium since 1988. It is the government-appointed national GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) compliance monitoring authority (Royal Decree dated 6 March 2002). It monitors compliance with OECD GLP principles and tests on chemicals.  

Its main aims are:

  • implementing the Belgian GLP inspection programme;
  • support for countries wishing to apply for membership of the OECD;
  • participating in EU and OECD meetings; 
  • organising GLP training sessions and annual meetings; 
  • working with GLP statutory authorities; 
  • improving and adapting the GLP Compliance Monitoring programme.
