| Description | Cholinesterase reagent is used for in vitro diagnostic use in the quantitative kinetic determination of cholinesterase in human serum, plasma, or whole blood. Measurement of serum cholinesterase has been used to assess liver function and monitor excessive exposure to organophosphorus insecticides. It is also useful in predicting susceptibility to prolonged apnea after the administration of succinylcholine and to investigate the inheritance of variants of cholinesterase enzyme. |
