We offer a wide selection of retroviruses and microRNA for iPS generation. Somatic cells can be reprogrammed into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) by introducing reprogramming factors. MicroRNA can also effectively be used for iPS generation by liposomal transfection.

iPSC Generation Kit (miRNA) :

The lipid-based gene vector, or cationic liposome transfection system, is an alternative means of DNA transfection to viral therapies. Lipid-based gene vectors are minimally toxic to the organism receiving the therapy and are able to handle larger amounts of DNA than viral vectors. Liposome transfection lipids have distinct advantages in that they possess easy handling and preparation techniques and the ability to inject large DNA complexes with a low immunogenic response aftermath.
iPSC Generation Kit (Retrovirus) :

Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell iPSC Generation Kit contains an optimized ratio of retroviral reprogramming vectors that has been modified for the consistent generation of iPS cells. Kit includes a ready-to-use cocktail of reprogramming factors (Oct4, Sox2, Klf4, and LMyc).

Our Retrovirus iPS Cell Generation Kit is ready to use – just thaw the vials and add the contents to your cells. We prefer using retroviruses as they tend to silence better than lentiviruses do.
 

Kit Components:

This cocktail contains 4 viruses carrying human Oct4, Sox2, Klf4, and cMyc that have been concentrated individually. The amount of each virus has been carefully optimized to reach its highest reprogramming efficiency. Every lot of the cocktail was tested by reprogramming human foreskin fibroblast cells.
