Protective shields and containers are essential for minimizing exposure to beta radiation in today’s research laboratories. All Beta-Gardä products are constructed of durable and transparent 1/2” thick acrylic, which has been proven to provide complete shielding from activity b-emitting isotopes, including P32. (Acrylic shields cannot shield against secondary X-rays or gamma radiation.) Beta-Gard shields and containers are also ideal for protection from biohazardous materials found in clinical research laboratories. Shelton Scientific does custom fabrication!

Gentaur’s BETA-GARD transport sleeve
provides safe storage and transportability
of ß-emitting samples. The transport
sleeve container holds a fully loaded
80-well microcentrifuge tray that can
slide in and out by opening the flip-style
hinged door. The transport sleeve makes
transporting samples from bench to bench
easy and safe, while protecting the user
and lab from ß-radiation. The BETA-GARD
transport sleeves are constructed of heavy duty
1/2” cast acrylic for maximum protection
against ß-radiation, and are also fully
refrigerator/freezer compatible.

Gentaur’s BETA-GARD vial shipping containers
are designed to hold standard round or square
radioactive vials. This two compartment
container, with individually hinged lids, allows
one container to be accessed at a time, reducing
the exposure to the user. Inserts are provided to
secure smaller vials and increase versatility. The
BETA-GARD vial shipping containers are
constructed of heavy duty 1/2” cast acrylic for
maximum protection against ß-radiation, and are
refrigerator/freezer safe.

access to the trays and samples, and skid resistant
feet prevent the chambers from sliding on the
bench top. The BETA-GARD thermal security

acrylic, and are fully compatible with refrigerator/
freezer storage.

This tabletop workstation has angled front
sides and (2) access doors to work inside
the chamber. The outside dimensions of this
workstation are 28.5" x 20.625" x 20.75",
and it is constructed of heavy-duty 1/2" clear
cast acrylic for years of dependable usage.
Each access door also has its own cam
latch/door lock, for when the workstation
is not in use.
