Corn Processing: Dextrose anhydrate

What is dextrose anhydrous?
Dextrose anhydrous is the purest form of dextrose, commonly called glucose. It is manufactured by refining dextrose monohydrate, itself a pure form of dextrose.

What is the role of glucose in nutrition?
Glucose is the basic building block of all carbohydrates - the principal source of energy for humans. Glucose is directly and rapidly assimilated in the body to keep the vital systems functioning.

What are the applications of dextrose anhydrous?
Sick people, like those suffering from diarrhoea, need to replenish the lost nutrients and electrolytes. Dextrose anhydrous provides instant energy. It is the primary ingredient in oral rehydration salts (ORS). Dextrose anhydrous is used in intravenous(IV) fluids to provide nutrients to patients under intensive care who are unable to receive them by the oral route. Dextrose anhydrous complements the function of saline solution for a total electrolyte-energy balance.

Origin Agrostar and dextrose anhydrous
Dextrose anhydrous is manufactured in an ultra-modern starch derivatives factory. The sophisticated manufacturing and testing facilities have been set up in technical collaboration with European companies who are world leaders in their respective fields. The product satisfies IP/BP requirements in full.
